Seattle and Alaska

About a year and a half ago I went on a cruise out of Seattle to Alaska, I know this is mainly a retirement cruise but I jumped at the opportunity to go and explore the beautiful sights of Seattle, Alaska and Canada. We flew into Seattle a day early to explore and for me to take pictures of this beautiful city and of course to order a drink from the original Starbucks. The flowers and fish at the public market are nothing short of huge and amazing and i could not get over how inexpensive the pricing was there. The next day we boarded the ship and off I went to explore, I always like the first night and next day because you usually are at sea all day and that is the perfect opportunity to fully explore the ship and get your bearings. We ported in Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Victoria BC. The weather was cold and rainy and in Juneau while at Mendenhall Glacier we had 18 hours of day light.  I love going on cruises because you get to see so many different places in a weeks time and each city is unique and different.. Until then..... Bon Voyage

Zach goes to Winter Formal

Since I do not have any children of my own my nieces and nephews are like my own children. I would like to think that I am very active in their lives and never miss an important event. I am still grasping that my nephew Zach is 16, in high school and plays football... I remember being at the hospital when he was born and holding him for the very first time. Zach has grown into a wonderful young man, he is smart, uses his manners and is all around a great kid ( I am sure he hates it when we call him a kid but to me he always will be). Miranda is a sweet young lady who Zach is friends with, Winter Formal is girl ask guy so she asked him to the dance. Now, for those of you who know Zach know this is NOT his thing, he is not a dancer nor does he really listen to Top 40 radio!! He said Yes and the rest as they say is history...

Zach, you may be 16 but in my eyes and heart you will always be the happy little guy in the back seat of my mustang with the top down and a HUGE smile on your face.. I love you kid..

The Happiest Place on Earth

Awwwww what could be better the going to the Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland.. No matter how many times I have been there I still feel like a child, skipping up to the entrance filled with excitement and joy. Ass annual passholders the feeling does not go away, this trip was no different. It was a warm November day the week before Thanksgiving so the park was decorated for the holidays (Which happens to be my favorite time of the year because the Haunted Mansion is Nightmare Before Christmas themed), Christine, Harmony and I set out for a day of fun. Laura lives in New York so she could not be there with us in person so Christine bought a Barbie that looks like Laura so she could be there with us in spirit.  It's moments like this that the memories really do last a lifetime.
